What’s crackin’?

Hello, my name is Kaleb Olson, DC. Some of you may know me already, but some of you may not and I would like to change that!

Hello, my name is Kaleb Olson, DC. Some of you may know me already, but some of you may not and I would like to change that! I grew up in Northcentral Iowa in a small rural town with a population of less than 250 people. I loved my time in school and making friends which hasn’t changed much. Rural Iowa was the perfect place to grow up. The old adage “everybody knows everybody” is true. It was a simple upbringing and I was able to be involved in anything that I wanted to be. Drama, choir, show choir, jazz band, pep band, drumline, baseball, track, basketball, and football. If I would have grown up in an area with a larger population, I don’t think I would have been able to participate in all of those activities.

I have always loved working hard. During each summer following my 14th birthday, I started working instead of playing baseball. The name of the game where I was from was either manual labor or food service. I chose manual labor. I worked as a member of a detasseling crew for five years, independently contracted acres from Pioneer Seed Company to de-rouge for two years, worked as a farm hand for five years, and ran my own lawn service “business” for around six years (thanks for letting me use your lawn mower, Dad). I definitely have an entrepreneurial spirit like my Dad does.

So why the blog? In eighth grade I decided what I wanted to dedicate the rest of my life to. Helping others through chiropractic care! Fast forward 11 years and here I am, sitting in the living room of my apartment, recently having graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October of 2020, and receiving my license from the state of Iowa.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to learn a lot about the human body and how it works, and I would like to share that knowledge with YOU! By starting this blog and sharing some of the knowledge I have learned over the years, I hope to provide some value for you all to use in your own lives to improve your overall health and wellness. It also helps me become a better writer, communicator, and educator.

They also say that the more times you teach something, the more you understand it yourself. After all, that is what doctor means. “Teacher”. The more I’m able to continue learning the more tools I have in my toolbelt in order to help people heal.

The emphasis of my blog is health and wellness. We will be talking about many topics including: chiropractic, nutrition, fitness, mental health, and other general health topics. I will provide the best information to my knowledge but make sure to remember that it is just one man’s informed perspective.

If you ever find these posts informative and beneficial please share them and tell your friends and family to check it out! Also, if you ever have topic ideas or are curious about something health related and would like me to write about it please contact me at info@foundationchirodsm.com. I am so excited to begin this journey and can’t wait for you to join it with me!

Sincerely,

Kaleb Olson, DC
